Procedure:

Finally we make a magnet bridge using the popsicle stick or PCB strip and two small pieces of straw. Then we connect the speaker to an audio signal.

Step 4:

  • Cut the straw pieces about one sixteenth of an inch longer than the coil form straw (Approximately 5/16" length).
  • Hot glue the two pieces of straw on opposite edges of the cup.
  • Glue the small magnet to the center of the bridge.(Align the small magnet so it sits freely in the center of the coil form straw.)
  • Glue the bridge into place on the tops of the two bridge support straws.

 

 

Step 5:

  • Connect your speaker to an audio signal source such as the radio built in last month's experiment.
